Three days after the quake, the King of Saudi Arabia ordered donations for the quake-hit areas worth about $70 million in total, which is the largest donation China received from a foreign country.

The ambassador also flew with the shipmentsin person to Chengdu where stayed for three days and launched a blood donation campaign back in Beijing for the needy.

Saudi King 'emotionally with China'

His country is emotionally connected with China and the Saudi King loves the Chinese people from his heart, the ambassador said.

Two countries furthering cultural exchanges

"More and more students and cultural exchanges are something "we are really happy to see going on," the ambassador said.
