Thousands of anti-government protesters converged on Government House on Thursday as the government began giving out checks worth 55 US dollars, to millions of low-income Thais to stimulate the economy.

They say they're angry that everyone is not included.

Surachai Ramairikasit, Protester, said, "Its not fair that the government handed out the economic stimulus checks to workers registered with the Social Security Fund only. The money that was paid to them is our tax. All Thais should be eligible for this help."
