Ahmadinejad said Iran is waiting to see "real changes" in US policy. And he warned Tehran-Washington ties wouldn't improve if no fundamental changes were introduced to US policies.
Last week, he said Iran is ready for talks with the US on the basis of mutual respect.
Iranian officials have said that means the US has to stop accusing Iran of supporting terrorism and seeking to build nuclear weapons.
During his campaign for president, Obama pledged to rethink Washington's relations with Tehran.
