A bomb has killed a politician and wounded at least six others in Peshawar, Pakistan.
The attack came as the US envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan, Richard Holbrooke, visited the city in the North West Frontier Province, close to the border with Afghanistan.

Police say it appeared the bomb was hidden in a motorcycle and was detonated by remote control.
It exploded as a vehicle passed carrying Alam Zeb Khan, who represented the Awami National Party in the provincial assembly.
He died later at a local hospital. There is no suggestion that Holbrooke was anywhere near the site of the attack.
