US envoy meets Pakistani officials

US special envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan, Richard Holbrooke, has held meetings with Pakistani officials in Islamabad.

His meeting comes a day after US President Barack Obama said areas along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan have become safe havens for militants.

Obama said Holbrooke would try to convince Pakistan that it faces as much danger as the US from the border threat.
