US general in Pakistan for security talks

US Central Command chief General David Petraeus is in Islamabad for talks with Pakistani officials.
The commander in charge of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq met Tuesday with army chief, General Ashfaq Kayani.

They discussed the security situation along the Pakistani-Afghan border the latest in Afghanistan and Pakistan's response to the Mumbai attacks.
India and Western countries claim the bombings were carried out by a banned Pakistani-based militant group.
Later, Pakistan's military issued a blunt call for outside powers to stop demanding it to do more and to also prove its sincerity in the campaign against militancy.
This was Petraeus' second visit to Pakistan since taking charge of US Central Command in November.
