Bombs destroy 5 schools in Pakistan

Suspected Taliban militants have bombed five schools in northwestern Pakistan, part of a campaign against girls' education.
In response to the threat, the group running the schools said they would remain closed after the winter break.

Monday's attacks came just hours after a government spokeswoman had vowed to reopen all schools. Pakistani Prime Minister, Yousuf Raza Gilani, says the government is working on a political solution to the crisis.
