Anti-Israel demonstrations continue around the world

Anti-Israel demonstrations have been a daily occurrence since the start of the offensive.

People around the world are voicing their support for the Palestinian people and condemning the ongoing Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.

Hundreds of Americans took to the streets of downtown Detroit to protest Israel's actions. Demonstrators carried Palestinian flags. Detroit is home to the largest Arab-American community in the US.

Meanwhile, thousands of Pakistani Shiite Muslims used the holy day of Ashura on Thursday to voice anger against the Israeli military offensive in Gaza.

The protesters chanted anti-Israeli slogans. The procession took place amid tight security, with ten thousand police and paramilitary officers deployed on the streets.

In Indonesia, over 300 furious protesters stormed the U.S. fast food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken, forcing its closure.

The protesters, most of them students, overturned tables and chairs at KFC, but no one was hurt.

More than one thousand protesters sprayed graffiti and hurled shoes at the Israeli embassy in Venezuela, supporting President Hugo Chavez's decision to expel the Israeli ambassador.

Demonstrators waved Palestinian flags and shouted anti-Israeli slogans.

Around one hundred and fifty people protested outside the Israeli embassy in London on Thursday.

They chanted slogans and waved Palestinian flags. One man was removed by police, but it was unclear if he had been arrested.
