Israel continues strikes on Gaza

Friday marks 14 days since Israel launched its offensive against Hamas on the Gaza Strip. There was more intense fighting in Gaza on Thursday, as the number of casualties continued to rise.

Palestinians are facing grimmer conditions after a UN aid agency halted work, saying its staff were at risk from Israeli forces fighting Hamas.

Palestinians reported some two dozen air strikes in Gaza on Thursday.

Gazan hospital officials and human rights workers have put the number of dead above 750 since Israel's military operations began two weeks ago.

10 Israeli soldiers have been reportedly killed so far.

For a second straight day, Israel suspended its Gaza military operation for three hours on Thursday to let in humanitarian supplies.

But shortly before the pause took effect, the UN said one of its aid trucks was struck by Israel. The driver died.
