China has implemented measures to cope with the increase in demand for tickets during the annual Chinese New Year mass migration.

In Chengdu, the capital of southwest China's Sichuan province, more temporary ticket booths have been opened at the railway station. Mobile ticket vans have also appeared at some university campuses and construction sites in order to offer better service to college students and migrant workers. Meanwhile, more than 50 vehicles are on standby in case of any emergencies at the station.
The Chengdu railway authority says it expects to handle about 100 million passengers during the coming Lunar New Year.
