Special Report: Terror attacks in MumbaiNEW DELHI, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- India External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee Tuesday denied that India is considering military action against Pakistan at this stage, reported Indo Asian News Service.
But Mukherjee confirmed that India was waiting for Islamabad to act strongly against armed militants based in its territory responsible for terror attacks in the country.
"Nobody is talking of military action," said Mukherjee when asked to comment on a possible military action against Pakistan.
Mukherjee said India was waiting for a response from Islamabad over the extradition of 20 most wanted criminals who are said to be in living in Pakistan.
The Indian external affairs ministry summoned Pakistan's High Commissioner Shahid Malik in New Delhi Monday.
Shahid Malik was told that Pakistan's actions must match its Jan. 6, 2004 pledge of not allowing its territory for anti-India terror strikes if it wanted better ties with New Delhi.
