Russia and Georgia are scheduled to resume direct flights next Tuesday.
This will end a 16-month transport deadlock that began when the South Caucasus state expelled several Russian diplomats who were accused of spying.
The Russian Transport Ministry says the resumption of air traffic required the payment of debts by Georgian airlines to pay for services of Russian air traffic controllers.
Meanwhile, Georgia says the problem has been resolved in line with a protocol that was signed in Moscow, back in February of this year.
