China, UK to promote tech cooperation

Wen Jiabao says China regards technological innovation as key for its future growth and the country wants to learn from all technologically-advanced countries, including the UK.

Wen Jiabao said, "Britain is very strong in technology and innovation, and the continuously deepened bilateral economic and trade ties have laid a solid foundation for our collaboration in technology and innovation. I believe, with the joint efforts, our two countries can make greater contribution to making the world a better place."

Premier Wen Jiabao put forth a five-point proposal on such cooperation.
