Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has arrived in Iran after attending the latest OPEC summit.
The one-day visit is aimed at expanding his country's ties with Iran.
Chavez was welcomed at the airport in Tehran by Iran's Minister of Industries and Mines.
Chavez will meet his Iranian counterpart Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to review the latest regional and international developments and expand economic and political relations between the two countries.

Chavez arrived here from the OPEC summit in Saudi Arabia where he and Ahmadinejad called for oil to be traded in a basket of currencies excluding the weakening US dollar.
