CPC central committee urges study of Party congress´s essence

BEIJING, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has called for the study and implementation of the essence of the just-concluded 17th CPC National Congress in a newly issued circular.

Party members must study the essence of the congress comprehensively, accurately and intensively, the circular said.

The study must focus on the theme of the congress, the great new achievements scored in the work of the Party and the state, the great historical cause and the invaluable experience of reform and opening up, the Scientific Outlook on Development, the new requirements for building a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and the overall arrangements for the four-in-one economic, political, cultural and social development, the circular stressed.

It is the party's main political task for the time being to study and faithfully implement the congress's essence, according to the circular.

And the central committee asked local CPC committees to earnestly carry out the study by organizing diversified activities including giving lectures and designating special columns in mass media.
