Top political advisor urges study of Party congress´s essence among non-CPC members

BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- China's top political advisor has called for studying the essence of the 17th National Congress of the ruling Communist Party of China (CPC), making it a primary political task for the United Front.
Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), made the remarks at a symposium here on Tuesday.
The United Front is one of the main components of the CPC's general line and policy. Jia said that the United Front must equip itself with the essence of the congress and made the essence as the guiding principle for daily work.
He stressed that non-communist parties should do a better job of democratic supervision, participate in state affairs and contribute more to the country's building of a moderately prosperous society.
