Overseas Chinese confident about China´s future

Chinese people living abroad are touting the talents of China's new leadership. They say they feel confident about China's future.

Chinese-language newspapers in New York have been following the Party Congress. Local Chinese are excited about the successful closing of the Congress.They are encouraged by the new policies.

New York resident Shao Bin said, "I think the idea of a scientific outlook on development fits the current situation in China. It stresses comprehensive and balanced development. And that will be good for the whole nation."

Hua Junxiong, vice chairman of Unified Chinese Union of E. American,said, "I'm glad to hear the successful closing of the CPC Congress. On the Taiwan issue, I believe sincere work will be carried out for the peaceful development of cross-Straits relations."

In Belgium and the Netherlands, Chinese residents have been closely following the process of the national congress and the changes to policies.

Belgium resident Yu Huiling"I think this year's Party Congress has proved successful. It refers a lot to Chinese people's livelihood, in medicine, education and environment protection. As an overseas Chinese, I'm encouraged by our country's development."

Some overseas Chinese are hoping that China will, in the future, play a more significant role in the international community.
