Special Report: 17th CPC National CongressThe group debut of the CPC leadership has been generating keen interest in Hong Kong. Earlier, CCTV talked to some notable persons from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. They were eager to weigh in with their opinions.
Tsang Hin Chi, member of NPC Standing Committee, said, "I was very excited to see the successful reshuffling of the CPC leadership. The people in Hong Kong have been paying a lot of attention to the 17th CPC National Congress. And we have great expectations. We can see talented people have been elected as members of the CPC Central Committee. And especially, the members of Politburo's Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee are very experienced party members. China has a population of 1.3 billion people. We feel throughout history and in our present life that only under the leadership of the CPC could we have accomplished today's achievements."
NPC Hong Kong deputy Fei Fin said, "I hope the new leadership can learn more about Hong Kong, its grassroots organizations, and listen to the voices of people from different sectors. As Hong Kong people, we will unswervingly support the government of the Special Administrative Region to exercise politics based on law to better our economy."
CPPCC Hong Kong member Chan Chun Tung said, "I think the report of the 17th CPC National Congress is very good. I hope the new leadership can lead all of China to step forward and carry out what has been laid out in the 17th CPC National Congress report."
