China, Africa vow to strengthen financial co-op

China and Africa are set to strengthen financial cooperation.

This was the message from the governor of the People's Bank of China, Zhou Xiaochuan, at a ministerial round-table meeting prior to the annual meeting of the African Development Bank in Shanghai.

He pledged that China will take a more active part in helping build infrastructure in Africa and in supporting the development of the continent's financial sector.
