AfDB meeting opens on Wednesday morning in Shanghai

The annual board meeting of the African Development Bank Group, or the AFDB, will open in Shanghai on Wednesday morning.
The parcipants are hoping to use the two-day meeting to discuss possibilities for strengthening cooperation with Asian countries including China. A series of sideline business seminars and forums have already revealed the latest business information for investors.
Investors have been happy to learn that China's central government has approved a five billion US dollar fund to help Chinese companies invest in Africa.
Agricultural development, manufacturing, telecommunications and infrastructure are the key areas of investment.
