Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing has met his French counterpart Philippe Douste-Blazy. They expressed satisfaction over the two countries' partnership, and pledged to increase cooperation.

Hand in hand Chinese and French diplomats seem perfectly at ease.

With few disputes between them, the two Foreign Ministers find their talks enjoyable.

And they share a consensus developing relations further.

Li Zhaoxing said, "China and France have common interests in maintaining world peace and promoting joint development. We shoulder important responsibilities. No matter how the international and domestic situations change, our friendship will only get better. China is willing to push forward our comprehensive strategic partnership together with France. "

Philippe Douste-Blazy pointed to already robust cooperation like aircraft construction, infrastructure, and telecommunications. But THIS dialogue is focused more on extending cooperation on regional and global issues.

Philippe Douste-Blazy said, "On the Iranian nuclear issue, we speak often and we will work together for a firm voice and unified approach within the international context. I also recognise the prominent role China played in reaching a conclusion to the six-party talks over the DPRK nuclear issue. "

Douste-Blazy is on a two-day visit to China. On Thursday, he'll sign an agreement on promoting cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine.
