The decision by the US President to increase troop numbers in Iraq has also sparked mixed reactions among military families.

Ahead of Bush's address, Paula Rogovin, whose son will soon depart for Iraq, said she has been against the war from the beginning. And Tammy Lynch, the wife of a US soldier, said she's ready to make the personal sacrifices for the sake of security.

Paula Rogovin, mother of US soldier, said, "There's an expression 'All mothers' tears are the same. So when I read the paper in the morning or look at the Internet and see somebody else has been killed and ten times that number killed in Iraq - Iraqi people killed - my heart is broken. I don't want one more death. And Military Families Speak Out, our demand is not one more death. Not one more dollar should be spent on this war."

Tammy Lynch, wife of US soldier, said, "I got three kids, it could have been us in those towers. If I have to sacrifice him for a year or two years to make sure that my kids can go to school safe then I'm all about it."
