Bush to announce new plan on Iraq in televised address

Special Report: Iraq in TransitionAfter nearly four years of bloodshed in Iraq US President George W. Bush is seeking a new way forward in the violence-wracked country.
He is scheduled to unveil his new strategy for conducting the war in Iraq in a televised address on Wednesday evening. The president is expected to deploy up to 20,000 more US troops in Iraq.
Following a White House meeting with Bush, a Republican Congressman said the the president's passion to increase troops in Iraq is impressive.
Mike Pence, Republican congressman, said, "This is a commander in chief who has decided not to fail in Iraq. I found his arguments and his strategies to be persuasive."
