Hanging of Saddam´s aides postponed until 7th

Special Report: Iraq in TransitionThe Iraqi government has delayed till Sunday the execution of two aides of executed former president Saddam Hussein. The decision has been confirmed by a Shiite lawmaker from the Iraqi Congress.
Saddam's half-brother and former intelligence chief, Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti, as well as the former chief justice of the Revolutionary Court, Awad Hamed al-Bandar were originally to be executed on Thursday. But that's now been postponed until Sunday.
The two codefendants were both convicted and sentenced to death, along with Saddam. The verdict was later upheld by the courts.
