Saddam calls for Iraqi people to unite against invasion

In Iraq Saddam Hussein has called on the Iraqi people to unite against the foreign invaders, and says his execution will be a sacrifice for his country.
This message was part of a hand-written letter from the former leader that was posted on the internet on Wednesday.
Saddam told Iraqis that unity would prevent them from falling into servitude, and urged them not to let the invaders divide them. The authenticity of the letter was confirmed by one of Saddam's defense lawyers in Jordan. He said the letter was written by Saddam in November, when he was sentenced to death for crimes against humanity.
An Iraqi appeals court upheld the ruling on Tuesday, announcing Saddam would be executed within the next 30 days. Full Story >>
