The State Council approved establishing April 24 as China Astronautics Day in a response to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration of Science Technology and Industry for National Defense.
The day will be celebrated annually starting this year, and the celebration details and other issues will be decided by the two departments and other related agencies, according to the State Council.
