UN hosts conference for Haiti donors

High-level representatives from more than a hundred members and branches of the United Nations are meeting at the organization's headquarters in New York.

Wednesday's conference was called to solicit 4 billion US dollars to help Haiti recover and rebuild after January's devastating earthquake.

Donors are gathering in an attempt to rebuild the battered nation of Haiti.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon presided over the opening of the international engagement.
