China calls on business to explore African market

China has called on its businesses to explore the African market and deepen cooperation with their counterparts on the continent. Top Chinese political advisor, Jia Qinglin, made the call Tuesday evening in a seminar in Pretoria, South Africa.

Those attending the event included South African commerce officials and representatives of more than ten Chinese businesses based in the country. Jia Qignlin, urged the two sides to strengthen cooperation.

He said China is willing to help African people improve their lives, and enhance their abilities to develop on their own. South Africa is the last leg of Jia Qignlin's 10-day African tour, which has already taken him to Cameroon and Namibia.
