US envoys head to Asia to discuss North Korea

Two US envoys will go to China, South Korea and Japan to discuss ways to restart nuclear disarmament negotiations with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Two US envoys will go to China, South Korea and Japan to discuss ways to restart nuclear disarmament negotiations with the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Stephen Bosworth and Sung Kim will leave Tuesday. But the US State Department says there are no plans for travel to the DPRK or for meetings with its officials. Bosworth visited Pyongyang late last year, but failed to bring the DPRK back to the six-party talks.
