US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is working to enlist more Arab pressure on Iran over its nuclear ambitions.
Clinton arrived for a three day visit to Qatar and Saudi Arabia on Sunday. Officials say Clinton hopes to win greater Arab support for sanctions against Iran.
The US wants the UN Security Council to impose a fourth round of penalties on the country, which says its nuclear program is to generate electricity so it can export more of its valuable oil and gas.
The West, as well as many Arab states, suspect the program is a cover to develop atomic weapons.
