China calls for resuming negotiations on Iran nuclear issue: FM Spokesman

China has called for an early resumption of peaceful negotiations on the Iran nuclear issue, and says China would contribute to it. A Foreign Ministry spokesman made the remarks Thursday at a regular press conference.

Ma Zhaoxu, Foreign Ministry spokesman, "China has always believed that dialogue and negotiation are the best ways to resolve this issue, China will continue its work of persuasion for negotiations. We also hope these negotiations can resume as soon as possible. We will continue to contribute to this end."
