Turning to Iran where a remote-controlled bomb has killed a Tehran University scientist.

Iran's English-language Press TV said 50-year-old slain professor, Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, was killed in a northern part of the capital by an explosive-laden motorcycle as he was leaving his home.

Iranian officials and the state media described Mohammadi as a nuclear scientist, but a spokesman said he did not work for the Atomic Energy Organization at the center of Iran's disputed nuclear program.

Meanwhile, Tehran University students have condemned the killing of the professor, and called for the attacker to be found and punished.

Physics Student, Tehran University, said, "He was one of the famous professors at the university, but unfortunately he was killed by a terrible terrorist attack this morning. The university society condemns this act and wants the government to find who did this and present them to the people."
