Airlines tighten security measures

Airports around the world are tightening their security procedures after the alleged attempt by a passenger to detonate an explosive device on a Christmas Day Amsterdam to Detroit flight.

Newly installed security measures have created some delays for flights to the United States, but most passengers at France's main airport are taking the stepped up procedures in stride.

Kenneth Smith, American Passenger, said, "As for being fearful? Not at all. Not one bit. I'm going to go. We are going to land safely, first to Detroit, and then to Chicago. And there will be no problem at all."

But some fear no amount of extra checks can stop a determined would-be attacker.
