To Pakistan now, where a top Taliban commander in the country says he is sending thousands of fighters to neighboring Afghanistan to counter an increase in US troops.

Waliur Rehman, Taliban Commander, said, "The benefit of a guerilla war is that we don't need many fighters, we have a surplus of fighters. The extra ones, we sent inside Afghanistan in different batches. Our people fight against Americans in Afghanistan, and they also fight in Pakistan against the Americans."

The commander says the United States is increasing its troops in Afghanistan because it's trying to hide its defeat. He predicts US forces will end up leaving Afghanistan in the upcoming months.

Rehman says his group will stop attacking Pakistani forces if the country severs ties with the US. He also insists Osama bin Laden is alive and safe.

He also mentioned he has never actually met the al-Qaida chief in person. Rehman is a deputy to Pakistani Taliban chief Hakimullah Mehsud, and the man in charge of the group's operations in South Waziristan.
