UN inspectors have visited Iran's recently revealed uranium enrichment facility. The tour is the first independent examination of the site.

The four-member team visited the heavily protected facility located south of Iran's capital, Tehran. Findings from the inspection are not expected until after the UN team leaves Iran later this week.

The visit, comes ahead of Iran's decision to accept or reject a UN-brokered deal to process its nuclear fuel abroad.

The plan aims to alleviate fears about Iran's potential ability to produce weapons-grade material.
