Special Report: Failed Christmas day attack |
Passengers throughout the United States are continuing to go through tightened security measures at airports following the Christmas Day bombing attempt of a US airliner.
First it was banning pocket knives and nail clippers. Then it was taking off your shoes. Then it was no liquids.
Now the government may want a closer look under your clothing.
On Wednesday, US Transportation Security Administration officials demonstrated two types of hyper-sensitive body scanners that create an image of a person's naked body on a security viewing screen.
The machines can detect metallic and non-metallic threats concealed underneath a person's clothing.
Some passengers have expressed displeasure with the increased surveillance.
