Special Report: Failed Christmas day attack |

Following the attempted bombing on a trans-Atlantic flight on Christmas Day, airlines and airports from around the world are getting more nervous about any hidden dangers.

A Lufthansa flight en route from Frankfurt to Detroit made an emergency landing in Iceland on Saturday after it was found to be carrying unclaimed luggage.

A bomb squad searched the plane while passengers remained on board, removing the luggage. After a two-hour search, the passenger jet took off again for Detroit.

A spokesman at the Keflavik International Airport said there was nothing suspicious in the luggage and the passenger in question seems to have missed the plane after checking in.
