Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says Tehran is considering reducing cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog. This comes after the UN issued a resolution critical of Iran last week.
The Iranian President is taking a tough line. He says friendly relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency are over.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian President, said, "We will cooperate with them as much as they offer us facilities and advantages as stated in the Agency's charter. It is not a unilateral relation."
Friday's IAEA resolution demanded Iran halt all uranium enrichment and stop construction of a newly discovered nuclear facility near the city of Qom.
On Sunday, Iran said it will build 10 more such facilities.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian President, said,"We are making new centrifuges that will be applied soon that will have a capacity more than the regular centrifuges."
Ahmadinejad also says Iran has no commitment for informing the IAEA about any new plans to build new reactor sites.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian President, said,"When we possess the technology, we do not have to inform them about it."
The UN has demanded Iran freeze enrichment because the process can also be used to develop a warhead.
But Iran says its nuclear program is peaceful. It insists it has a right to enrich uranium to produce fuel for nuclear reactors to generate electricity.
