Colors were muted, with Old Gold, Earth, Forest Green and some Bloody red. Fabrics were lace, felt, religious velvet and satin. The veteran Portugese designer was inspired by the baroque period.

Ana Salazar, designer, said, "This collection I put the name ' Depurating Excess ' because it has lots of references about the period of the story that is the baroque and that is the only thing I mean the materials, the forms, the colors and also the jewelry has much to do with this inspiration. "

Also presenting was Luis Buchinho who mixed seventies and nineties styles.

Luis Buchinho, designer, said, "This collection is a mix between the seventies and the nineties using very feminine forms from the first decade and then mixing with the minimal, androgynous aspects of the second one."

The light touch came in the shape of designer Katty Xiomara who has been a fixture on the fashion map since 1997.

Her collection was a mixture of romantic and urban geometric.

Katty Xiomara, designer, said, "The collection is more geometric, more graphic, very graphic but also romantic, also feminine, the colors, maybe the most important color is yellow toast, but the black is very strong and the other colors is soft and strong - soft and strong."

Lisbon Fashion week finished on Sunday March 14th.
