Guangxi pavilion's designed with eco-friendly theme

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in south China has unveiled the design of its pavilion for the Shanghai World Expo. It's based on the idea, "green home, blue dream".

The Guangxi pavilion uses the Region's trademark osmanthus tree as the major visual feature, mingled with scenery from its tourist sites at Guilin and Elephant Nose Mountain.

The pavilion will feature two main colors: green and blue. Green symbolizes an eco-friendly theme, and blue represents coastal areas. Construction work on the pavilion is now underway. The main structure is expected to be finished within a month.
