Ten panda cubs have arrived in Shanghai, months ahead of the World Expo. The Giant Pandas flew in on a chartered plane, on Tuesday and will soon become the Expo's mascots.

All ten were born after the deadly Wenchuan earthquake in May 2008. Since then the six girls and four boys have been cared for at China's panda center, in Sichuan's Wolong National Nature Reserve. The pandas were a little reluctant to explore their new surroundings, so zoo keepers had to lure them out of their cages with apples and other vegetables.

The cubs will go through a number of physical tests before they appear in public in late January.
