China holds 1st coordinated National Day parade rehearsal

The first coordinated rehearsal of the National Day parade has been held. The late Sunday night event tested the coordination and cooperation between different units.

PLA soldiers were part of the first few formations, followed by civilians and floats. The students spread across Tiananmen Square created patterns among their formations by rotating bouquets. The practice drill lasted for more than two hours and is said to have been successful. Organizers say the rehearsal is scheduled at night to minimize inconvenience to nearby residents, and thanked them for their support patience, and understanding.
