As efforts to continue to rebalance the Chinese economy, some analysts are already expressing confidence in growth next year. Many say expansion in the double-digits is not unlikely. On the question of inflation, the general consensus is that rises in the Consumer Price Index will stay within reasonable limits.
Zhu Jianfang, Analyst of CITIC Securities said "We think Chinese economy will continue to increase next year. It may achieve a double-digit growth. While CPI growth will stay between 2 to 3 percent. Exports will enter positive territory, together with continuous increase in consumption. But investment is likely to slow down and the portion that is government-led is likely to fall."
Yuan Yi, Senior Analyst of Shenyin Wanguo Securities said "We believe China's GDP will maintain an upward trend in 2010. We forecast that growth rate will reach 9.6 percent. And increase of the Consumer Price Index will be 2.2 percent, a reasonable level."
