China's central bank advisor, Fan Gang, says the country's economy is likely to grow around 8 to 9 percent in 2010.

Fan made the remarks on Friday at a conference in Hong Kong. He said the Chinese economy, which is different from Dubai's, can achieve a steady recovery. Fan Gang pointed out that the problem of Dubai's development lies in its lack of real industries.

He also said the favorable growth environment in China will provide a solid foundation for the development of various industries.
