The passenger spent a considerable amount of time in a Chicago hospital recovering from his injuries. Indeed, United is now also facing an investigation by both federal and city officials. It's not surprising that the backlash against the airline refuses to relent.

The video of David Dao- being forcibly dragged from a United Airlines flight, has now been around the world. Dao ,refusing to give up his seat so united crew members could board. And now ,a second video emerging.Taken from a fellow passenger moments before Dao was kicked off. Dao -unwilling to get off the plane, but not appearing 'belligerent' as United had previously reported and later recanted. Speaking on camera for the first time in an exclusive interview with American TV network, ABC news United CEO Oscar Munoz said he felt shame and embarrassment over the incident.

"You saw us at a bad moment and this can never, will never, happen again on a United flight. That's my premise and that's my promise." Munoz said.

Another promise- an internal review of United's practices, with the results made public by the end of the month. One thing Munoz says he won't do- resign... Despite mounting calls for him to do so.The incident has provoked outrage on social media globally.

It's unclear how the controversy will affect United's customer base in China. United is the largest US airliner operating in China. Protests have erupted in Chicago- where united is based and where the flight was set to take off.United also feeling the heat from the federal and city levels. The US department of transportation is looking into whether United violated and rules. And on Thursday, the city council in Chicago is planning a special meeting to address the incident.
