Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has started a four-day official visit to China at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart, Li Keqiang. He will meet with President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang, and the Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee Zhang Dejiang.
Israel's foreign ministry says the focus will be on trade and economic relations. The two sides are expected to sign deals in economy, aviation, education, and science and technology. The Times of Israel has reported that Netanyahu is bringing 5 ministers and a 90-strong business delegation, the largest in Israel's history.
Netanyahu says he will push forward a free trade deal and will attend a China-Israel innovation cooperation meeting. He will also meet business leaders including internet tycoon, Baidu chief Robin Li Yanhong.
