Anti-terrorism police have killed three suspected militants and arrested one in a raid on the outskirts of Indonesia's capital, Jakarta.
Police said they thwarted a suicide bombing plot at a house in the city of Tangerang, 25 kilometers west of the capital. Police added the suspects opened fire from inside the house after throwing a bomb that failed to explode.
Authorities believe the suspects are supporters of Islamic State. After the raid, President Joko Widodo released a statement asking the public to be vigilant about the spread of radicalism in Indonesia.
