China's best employer rankings for 2016 have been released by job site Zhaopin, with Chinese firms dominating the list.
Tencent, China’s leading Internet company, is number one. Rounding out the top 5 are China Merchants Bank, BMW China, Alibaba and the People’s Insurance Company of China.
What's worth mentioning is that among the top 30 firms, 22 are domestic. The site says the result indicates the rise of Chinese companies' competitiveness with global brands.
But in contrast to the overall preference, foreign companies are still the top choice for college students. And compared with people already in the work force, students tend to show more interest in an enterprise's respect for individuals.
The annual survey involved over 9,000 companies. The winners were selected after online voting on their performance in six sectors, including brand strategy, organization structure, and salary and benefits.
