Special forces have recaptured two districts of eastern Mosul, expanding the army's foothold in the ISIL stronghold. The Iraqi army says their troops have liberated the districts of al-Falah Oula and al-Falah Thaniya, while in the west of the city paramilitary units freed seven villages.
Troops are facing a grueling fight in Mosul from the extremist militants. But in another minor victory, the special forces -- known as the Golden Division -- discovered an ISIL training camp, seizing equipment from the premises.
