People around the world are mourning for the victims of the tragedy and well-known landmarks in various countries have been illuminated in green to honor the Brazilian team, Chapecoense.
In Rio de Janeiro, the Christ the Redeemer statue helped signal the start of three days of mourning that were announced by president Michel Temer. In Paris, the Eiffel Tower wore the Chapecoense colours for the fallen football club. And in London, the arch at Wembley Stadium was lit up, while in Germany, Bayern Munich's grounds, the Allianz Arena became a sea of green. And in the US, the ferris wheel known as the "Eye of Orlando" paid tribute.
Here in China, League Two side Hebei Elite held a mourning ceremony and some of the club's young players had trained with two members of Chapecoense during their time with Brazilian club Botafogo.
